A clear, careful process
How The Legal Desk works
A straightforward way to take the first step towards the right legal support in Zimbabwe.
1. Create your account
Sign in with email and password or Google, then create a client or lawyer profile.
2. Prepare a non-confidential brief
Clients save a draft and submit only when ready. Do not include names, identity numbers, confidential documents or sensitive facts.
3. Lawyers are reviewed
Individual lawyers need manual approval and a current practising certificate before they can see submitted briefs.
4. Compare proposals
Approved lawyers can send an approach, proposed fee, timeframe and their verified contact email. Proposal text is retained for seven days.
5. Choose and engage directly
Accept one proposal to share your verified email with that selected lawyer only. Carry out conflict checks, agree terms and arrange any payment directly outside The Legal Desk.
Frequently asked questions
Is The Legal Desk a law firm?
No. It is a matching platform. A profile, brief or accepted proposal does not itself create a lawyer–client relationship.
Does the platform process payments?
No. The platform is free at launch. Legal fees and payments are agreed and arranged directly outside the website.
Can I use it for an urgent court deadline?
No. Do not rely on the website for urgent matters or court deadlines. Contact a suitable lawyer directly.
